Makron designed a new corner unit to Kontio log home factory.

Log home building has grown in popularity and got a larger portion of the prefabricated house market. Modern log homes have urban looks because of alternative log profiles and selection of corner designs.

The new miter cut corner unit of Kontio log home factory enables the log design where the logs are placed on the same level around the corner and only a small fillet is added to the corner. Makron designed and manufactured the new corner unit to function as a part of the existing manufacturing line which was designed by Makron earlier. Puumies magazine 5/2017 wrote about modern log home building and close co-operation between Makron and Kontio through the years.
