Due to economic fluctuations and special situations like Covid-19, heavy machinery production will be transferred more to low-cost countries. Therefore Makron will focus on production megatrends; industrial automation, engineering, and lighter, more automized machine manufacturing.
– We see a great growth potential in industrial automation and engineering and design, and we will expand these services also to the greater Helsinki area to be closer to our customers. We also see that we have the opportunity to strengthen the synergy between Makron’s automation, engineering, and Estonian machine manufacturing, explains Johanna Vuopala, Makron Group CEO.
Makron’s automation and engineering companies Makron Automation Oy and Makron Engineering Oy continue as before in Lahti in their own renovated premises in Jokimaa, and will also be expanded to the greater Helsinki area. Makron Estonia OÜ has a good orderbook despite the pandemic and will continue machine manufacturing as before. Makron companies employ 110 professionals and have revenue of 13 MEUR.
