The raw material needs to be pre-treated before further processing. In different mechanical wood industry processes the raw material can be anything from timber and logs to wood chips. The wood is treated in various ways depending on the process – debarking, chipping, screening, storing, drying or gluing. At Makron, we are experts in production and mechanical engineering services.

Different sizes of logs are sorted by size before they are sent to the saw. The logs can be sawn with or without chipper canter to produce high-quality straight lumber. The cut lumber is divided by size and trimmed to the correct length. After this, it is stacked and moved to the drying kiln. The dry finished lumber is then packed for delivery. In the wood-based panel board production line, the material is dried, screened, glued and pressed. After pressing, the panel board is trimmed, cooled, stacked, and stored. The board is then sanded and cut to the correct dimensions. The finished panel board is conveyed through automatic quality control and then put in storage. From storage the stacks are packed and delivered to the customer. Pellets are manufactured from loss wood that would otherwise be discarded as waste. The wood waste is instead cut into smaller chips for pellet production. The chips are screened, dried and pressed into wooden pellets. The pellets are packed into large sacks and sent for delivery. The wood chips can also be roasted to achieve a very low moisture percentage. After roasting, the chips are crushed into dust and then pressed to make pellets.
