Ownership of Makron’s log house production technologies was transferred to Pinomatic Oy in March. Based in Kauhajoki, a town in western Finland, Pinomatic was a natural choice for procurement of Makron’s log technologies because the log production machines and software complement Pinomatic’s extensive range of wood-processing lines and machines.
“This acquisition enables us to strengthen our log-building offerings for the domestic market and for rapidly growing international markets. We are continuing to develop the technology related to log house production,” explains Pinomatic sales engineer Matias Rantala.
“The log technology developed by Makron over the decades has found a good home,” says Makron’s CEO, Johanna Vuopala, adding, “We want to focus on our core business: machine manufacturing, engineering and design, and industrial automation.”
Describing the transfer of operations, Vuopala says, “We have transferred information on earlier log production line deliveries to Pinomatic to ensure that our customers will have access to support related to maintenance, spare parts, and updates.”
